Domino's Vs Pizza Hut

Why do I love DOMINO's Pizza more than Pizza Hut's?

Oh, it's not much to do with how the pizzas taste like really in this case.....it's more of the customer service! You see, you get no-questions-asked vouchers when you get a late Domino's pizza. You also get FREE GIFT (in the form of free desserts) because you order 3x a week! LOL! Yeah, happened to us once.....the lady in the call line said: "You are so and so? Because you are our loyal customer, we are giving you a free Banana Bread Dessert to go with your order, we hope you enjoy your meal." Of course, why not! Domino's make good pizzas....

Pizza Hut?
When our pasta bolognaise with chicken did not come at all, they told us "Kitchen has told us they made it already, are you sure?" We had to notify them twice to get them to attend to this matter, and finally, the lady came back and said the most unbelievable non-customer-service words:

"They do not want to make the chicken meatball pasta bolognaise anymore, so we are replacing your order with beef meatball instead, but TAK APALAH, tak apalah......though beef meatball pasta is more expensive, tapi tak payah kira lah"

HUH?????? I wasn't feeling like arguing with them, so we let them go at that. Imagine if they faced another customer who does not eat beef???!!!!!! And not just that, this is NOT the way you talk to your customer when the fault is at your end btw......

What do you mean kitchen does not wanna make it anymore???? Are they saying we lied about eating up the pasta they already made, and lied to get another serving?????

Our guess is, one of the waiters must have served our pasta to another table! Whatever the reason, this is not the way you handle your customers, alright!

2nd encounter, also a negative one.
I placed a home delivery for Pizza Hut. 30 minutes later, the lady called and said:"Due to some problems, your pizza will be late, so I am calling to inform you so that you won't be waiting".

HUH??? I thought they copied DOMINO's policy, that if they are late, the customer will be presented with free vouchers???? Obviously, her call to me means, "sorry maam, because I am notifying you now, I am keeping the vouchers for myself!"

hmmmm.........whatever happened to Pizza Hut's quality of service????

They are soooo lucky we do not have DOMINO's Pizza here......yet!

More than 100 yen! :P

This is a continuation of event from previous post....So, after dinner, we decided to let the babes do a little funtime shopping and of course spend more quality time with their Ningning, and we visited the quite-newly opened 100 Yen Store for the 1st time (for all of us). Mum visited before and kept telling us "No need to go, nothing to see!" but I beg to differ...haha.....I guess it's just not her cuppa tea...but sis and I are super sure our dad is gonna love it, thus, we planned to bring him there after dinner this Sunday :D

Ok, we got a few things....don't wanna end up buying things we end up not using, so we trod carefully, with the 2 chatterbox carrying a large basket EACH! :P And it seems like I can't really check out any single thing, coz once the babes see me check out an item, they automatically assume that their mummy wanna buy it, and into their basket it goes....ONE EACH!!!! OF THE SAME ITEM!!!! hmmmm.........

But it's always fun to see them both acting the kepoci 'aunties'...haha..

These are what I got for my 1st trip: (FYI, not all items are RM4.90 btw, the only item that's RM4.90 here is the food picks, the black tray and egg mould set of 2 is RM5.90 each). Sis and I love the almost matte black tray, it has wood grain texture and it matches my black wood grain kitchen to the T :D....perfect for serving drinks on Chinese New Year!!! haha...

Meimei & Cheche's ROY ROY (and Ningning's LOI KOH)

While we were BUSY eating at expert just now.....a guy appeared from behind Ling (sis#2), smiling, no, grinning happily to me...
i was like...HERHHH???? DO I KNOW HIM?????? IS HE ANOTHER FORGOTTEN EX BOYFREN OF MINE??? (LOL>>>JOKING JOKING)....

Then i think he figured i DO NOT recognize him totally! So he said HELLO and extended his hand to shake mine....(1st impression, PASS!!! LOL!) I am no old lady okay, but I know how to judge a man to a certain extent without even knowing him fully, yet! My SHEEPISH LOOKING sister#2 aka the guy's girlfriend, looked as though she almost choked on her food when she realized that her BIGGEST KEPT SECRET aka the Boyfriend decided to make an appearance in her big sister's presence! LOL!.....oh, PLUS two little nieces' too :D

Sister#2 smiled happily (I am not sure she realized that or not) with that sweet surprise, and ROY ROY greeted her by planting a kiss on her HEAD!!!! :O or should i say her HAIR!!!!! I wanted to ask him, "U do know she puts loads of mineral oil on her hair daily, rite?" :P

Okay okay, enough of the cawan mushi details.....later somebody will be soooooo REDDDDDDD she decides to cancel our breakfast plan tomorrow errrr....

CONCLUSION?
I honestly think he is a very pleasant and nice guy. Someone decent enough to want to know your family members is a good start. Someone who is polite enough to pay attention to the 2 little 'members' and did not make any of them cry! LOL! (though all the above does not guarantee anything of course, just like everything else maaa.... but at least.....)

I managed to snap this pix of him carrying my babe, but that stupid spotlight at the back 'gau gau cannnn', making the pix less clear than it should've been! I did want to say "1 more time" but pai seh lah....hahahaha.......next time, next time.....

Oh, btw, he is Teochew, so when he's old and wrinkly, we could all refer him as Teochew Ah Pek! LOL! And please, don't call him LOI KOH, sounds so much like prawn paste kinda category!

1st Wisdom Tooth OUTTTT!!!!

OK, I am amongst the unlucky ones whose teeth are problematic since young...
It began like this...

When I was 10, after my 2 front upper incisors fell, the new ones refused to come out for ages!!!
So, dental surgeon had to SLICE open my gum to 'release' them! NOT KIDDING.
I remember I struggled and cried profusely, mostly due to F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R alone.

Then, after I have all my permanent teeth grown, they could not fit into my super small jaws, and so they decided to stack on top each other, which then gave me the calling name, "gigi rongak"!
(Trust me, even if you don't understand Malay Language, that term is not a nice thing to call an insecure adolescent).

So, luckily my mum was smart enough to DRAG and FORCE me to the orthodontist to have my braces done! I remember I kept insisting I do not want it, also due to F.E.A.R of dentists!!! LOL! But I am very thankful she was insistent.....she probably takut nobody would want her crooked-teeth daughter later...hahahahaha....

The whole braces thingie, made me fear dentists even more...coz after pulling out FOUR molars, and bracing braces for 2 year ++, the stupid orthodontist decided to tell me that my upper jaw was still too small, and I needed to pull out ANOTHER molar!!! To that, I said a firm NO, and I regret it till now.....

I took off my braces in Form 4, ie. in 1996, and that was the last I saw a dentist...yes, it had been 13 SUPER LONG years for one to skip her dental appointment!

Last month, my gum where my lower right wisdom tooth was, got swollen, and so painful I had to take painkiller. Finally, out of desperation, I went to seek Mr Dentist and of course I made sure I went to one of the better ones in our little city that costed twice other dentists would normally charge! He said I would need to remove that problematic wisdom tooth which was semi-grown and grown at a 45degree angle. I also need to remove an upper left wisdom tooth which is super misaligned (again, need I remind you I have super mini jaws?).

Worst news came, it would have to be done via surgery coz the tooth was not fully grown, and so, the next Monday I got it all done and over with. 1st, he rubbed some numbing cream on the spot where he would jab me (on the gum of course).....later JAB JAB JAB...a little pinch here n there.....

And I started to feel not much there......and he cut the gum open....then using something that works like a mini rotary cutter (or chainsaw! LOL!), he sawed my HUGE stupid tooth into HALF, and exact half really, before pulling each half out with forcep. Finally, he gave me 2 stitches and plenty of antibiotics plus very little painkiller :P And in return, I had to unwillingly give him RM550 :(

I could not eat properly for the entire week....the unlucky thing was, surgery was done on Monday, we flew to Singapore for my bro-in-law's wedding on Wednesday, and I suffered post surgery ulcer and surgery related pains the entire week!!!! SUCKS BIG TIME! And the area under my right jaw was sooooo swollen from Tuesday till Thursday, and I told hubby: "So, this is how I am gonna look like if I become fat next time" and he laughed his hair off! Hmmmmph!!!!

And I am not sure I would be going back to remove my other stupid wisdom tooth if it doesn't give me any swelling.... (TOUCH WOOD!!!!)........but I read that the earlier you remove them, the faster you heal.....it also reads as: the younger you are when you do it, the faster you heal! Come to think of it, I should have removed my 5th molar as suggested by my Orthodontist eh? at least that MIGHT have given the stupid tooth more space in the 1st place....sighhhh.....

So teenagers out there.....DO NOT be like me......stupid. period. Trust your mummy's words, and then the orthodontist's too! :D

"Uncle, u sit on wrong plane!"

Yesterday, we just got back from Singapore, attending my bro in law's wedding. As we boarded the plane, I saw this man in early 30s (who seemed like an empty snob) got up from his seat after being told he sat at somebody else's seat. So with a blank face on, he walked past three rows of seat and approached an uncle with a somewhat irritated face and 'ah-beng-ish' style:

MAN: Uncle, u sit on wrong plane!

As I already knew there was gonna be a small scene going on, I observed all along from the start, hehe...very bad of me......hehehehe...I knew he should be saying "uncle, u sit on the wrong seat" instead of PLANE! LOL!

With a very shocked expression on his face, that uncle looked up at him without saying a word, then that man finally and QUICKLY gestured "oh, my seat is same row as yours, but it's window seat, not YOUR aisle seat" facial expression......all that without a word, not even a word of sorry!

He was very lucky that uncle has no temper, or probably didn't understand english too, I can imagine if somebody as blank as he is simply comes telling me I boarded the wrong plane, I think I would be pissed off! Coz obviously he was the one all confused there! I chuckled in my heart.....and moved on.....

That's why I always thought that we should be careful of the words we use in daily communications, coz even ONE wrong word can trigger an awfully different meaning altogether! hehe.....
