Made this just now using a half piece of batik printed sarung for Kyra. The good thing about this fabric is that it wears very well with age, the more you wash it, the softer it becomes! This is why it's actually very good for our super hot weather too. OMG, I am in love with shirring....LOL! (Newfound skill, for an amateur sewist, it's a big deal okay...haha)
Am a stay-at-home mummy to 2 little pears who loves most things DIY, home decor, and feels guilty about using plastic bags . Pear is my name (online and referred to by my 2 sistas only), originated from my chinese name Pei actually......but u can call me Joey:)
oves to eat cupcakes!!! :D
I love makin a lot of things, from art to woodworking, but I only do it coz it makes me happy, very happy!!! :) (And being happy is important to me)
Thing is, there's only so much I can make for myself, my two babes, hubby, home and people around me.....thus, I decided to sell the things I make, TWO MAIN reasons actually: a) so I can continue to make more, b) so I might be able to save up enough $ to buy myself an electric sewing machine and a serger (so I don't have to go to the shop to get my buttonholes and serging done each and every time!)because I believe my hobby should pay for itself:)
"happiness is when you can live with imperfections, it's also when you don't seek it.....if something or someone prevents happiness from you, you should just omit the causer from your life! It's really that simple."
